Archive, restore or delete a project

Keep finished projects out of the way without losing their history.

Updated October 22, 2026 1 min read

Use the menu on a project’s page.

Archive

Archived projects disappear from the desktop app but keep all their tracked time. Archiving also turns off “assign to all”.

Restore

Filter the project list by Archived, open the project and select Restore. Reassign people if needed.

Delete

Delete removes the project and all its assignments. You cannot delete a project while someone is tracking time on it. When in doubt, archive instead.

The Default Project

Every workspace has a Default Project that is assigned to everyone. It catches time when no other project fits and cannot be edited, archived or deleted.
