Workstations: the computers your team uses

How computers and monitors are registered, and what the page shows.

Updated October 22, 2026 1 min read

A workstation is a computer where someone has signed in to the Trackion desktop app. It is registered automatically the first time; there is nothing to set up.

What you see

Each workstation shows the device name, operating system, IP and MAC address, the desktop app version, when it was last active, and its monitors with manufacturer, model and serial number.

A Windows computer still on a version installed from a downloaded installer shows a note to install Trackion from the Microsoft Store, so it gets updates automatically.

Where to find it

  • Workstations in the sidebar shows your own computers.
  • Org Admins, HR Managers and managers see someone else’s on the Workstations tab of their employee page.

Why it helps

  • Check which app version someone is on when you troubleshoot.
  • See whether someone tracks from more than one computer.
  • Monitor names also appear on screenshots, so you know which screen a capture came from.
