What Trackion records, and what it never records

Work sessions, click and keystroke counts and screenshots, never what anyone types.

Updated October 22, 2026 1 min read

What is recorded while the timer runs

  • Work sessions: when tracking starts and stops, the computer and the project chosen.
  • Activity counts: the number of mouse clicks and keystrokes in each minute.
  • Screenshots: at the interval your organization sets, on every monitor.

What is never recorded

  • What anyone types. Trackion counts key presses; it does not record the keys.
  • Anything while the timer is stopped.

Who can see it

Access follows roles and reporting lines. See Roles: who can see what. Employees can always see their own sessions and screenshots.

Where it is kept

Each organization’s data is kept in its own database, separate from every other customer. See How long Trackion keeps your data.
